Our nursery is a fun and exciting place for children to being their learning journey at Hopping Hill. We pride ourselves in developing nurturing relationships with children and their families to ensure that our children have a positive start to school life.
The nursery children join in with events taking place in school and enjoy an annual trip, a summer garden party, walks in the local community area, and a range of visitors throughout the year.
The nursery has 2 large indoor classroom areas with access to 2 fenced outdoor areas, one of which has a roof to allow for all weather outdoor activities.
The children have access to a wide range of learning activities, including sand and water, painting, construction, and the home corner, as well as adult led activities to focus on early phonics, reading and writing.
Children enjoy messy play, so we encourage parents/carers to dress them in clothes they don’t mind getting wet and dirty.
Jumpers and cardigans with our nursery logo on are available to buy from the office via our online payment system; this is an optional uniform for nursery children.
Nursery children receive a snack during the day; sometimes this will be a sandwich they make themselves, or different fruits and vegetables or other healthy snacks that fit in with celebrations taking place. As well as allowing children to experience new tastes, this also encourages them to be independent by pouring their drink and accessing the food that is on offer.
Nursery children also receive free milk, and fruit as part of the government healthy eating scheme.
